As I had talked about before one of the groups I am in does a weekly nail design challenge,
this week is a special challenge in support of
 Rare Disease Day.

I did not know of a day for rare diseases but was excited to heard that there is such a day since I stuffer from a rare disease... though I did not know it was considered rare. I don't like to talk much or even think about it even though I have to live with it everyday but I was happy to know there is a day for us lowbies in the disease world. The awareness ribbon is denim and for psoriasis which I have is orchid and orange.
Polish I used for the Rare Disease mani with "jeans" awareness ribbon.

DIY Curved Nail Art Watermark Tutorial

I have seen a few ladies in groups and just randomly around asking about curved watermarks around the base of the nail. I once upon a time also looked this up many times. Most of the time I just use Picasa 3 because I don't have Photoshop and it is very easy for me to use but lately I have been wanted that curved watermark and thankfully there is an awesome app that I have been using that is just as easy... I even have my Picasa account linked to my phone so it is just as quick as editing on my computer.
So here are a few quick, easy and best of all free steps to help you with your curved watermark!
You can click on the pictures to see them larger.
You will need to download the app PicsArt to do this.

Done and done!
I hope you find this post helpful, now go watermark your manis!

February 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag Review

 Glam bag time!!!
Sadly, since I moved to another state and they switched to DHL shipping my ipsy bag is coming at the end of the month ( this came yesterday) and these colors would have would have been perfect for Valentine's day.

Anyway, here is what came in my bag,

skyn ICELAND Fresh Start Mask with Ice Age Mud. I though this was two samples but it was a two piece sample. One is clay and the other activates it... I am a fan of Skyn products but I am not in a hurry to try it, it seems like so much work. I'll update this post with pictures once I try it in a few days.
Tini Beauty Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base In One. In the color Violette, an ipsy exclusive! I love Tini Beauty products but I have to say other than the color of this I am not fan at all. It was had to blend and trying to wash it off was not fun. The color seemed to wash off easily but it felt like something had been left on my eye.

J.Cat Beauty Eyelashes + Eyelash Glue. I have yet to try these though I am sure I will have no problems with them so I will save them for a rainy day. I do like the style I got.
POP Beauty Plump Pout Mini in the color Fuschia Freesia. I was actually hoping for the other color since I am not a huge fan of pink on me when I don't have purple hair but I don't hate this... kinda really liked the color. I didn't notice any extra pout or plump from the gloss though but it did stay for a while and came off pretty easy.

Zoya Nail Polish in the color Dot. It is a lovely pink but it is pretty sheer, more so then I'd like. I needed needed several coats to get the look I wanted but once on I was happy with it.
I also used it in this video for this manicure.

Finally the bonus item the cost 1000 ipsy points, Benefit high beam. I could take it or leave it, it had a little too much shimmer than my liking.

How did you like your bag this month?

Wantable December 2013 Intimates Box Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I received my first Wantable makeup box a few months ago, you can see my review here. I was very much in love with it and gained a new favorite go to shadow. When Wantable sent me one of there intimates boxes to try out I was very excited with some left over excitement from the make up box. I googled the box and saw a ton of goodies others were getting and couldn't wait for mine to come, thankfully Wantable has crazy fast shipping. I am a little late on the post since I did a little bit of traveling just after I got the box.

The treats that came in the box-
 Montelle Boyleg Aqua- $28.00
QT Intimates Boyshorts Animal Print- $10.00
Kix'ies Thigh High Stockings Kimmie- $18.95
Ozone Checkerboard Knee High Socks- $20.00

I washed all as directed on the labels before wearing and trying on.
I'll start with the QT boyshorts. When I first saw these I was not too sure about the size, they looked huge. When on though they kinda fit on me like lace shorts which was nice. They are pretty comfortable though nothing special, just another pair of unders here.
Montelle Boyleg. These seemed to be the big ticket item of the box and after trying them on I have to agree. These are lovely from the fit, feel, and to comfort level. I liked these so much I actually ordered another pair in a different style by the brand, that one was just as nice.
Ozone Checkerboard Socks. I was very excited to see these in the box, I have been obsessed with sock since I was a little girl, these are right up my alley also.
I have very small feet (5.5) for a lady of my height (5.8) so I am always worried the socks wont fit but these did! They felt lovely on and matched my orange knickerbockers I was hanging around the house in perfectly. Sadly though shortly after I started to walk around my house they did start to fall.

Kix'ies Thigh Highs. I am not a huge fan of thigh highs but I did like the pattern on these. I wore these with a grey sweater dress and flats... dressed these down a bit but they looked cute and worked since I was in Colorado at the time and it was snowing. They stayed in place while I was out and kept me kinda warm. I was sent size b for my height and weight and I had no problem with my small feet in these either.

I am overall I'm pretty happy with the box. I wish there was more of a variation in my box though, I received all bottoms when I had seen others with different types of tops and bottoms.  The winner of the box to me is the Montelle Boyleg unders and the loser is sadly the Ozone socks. I loved those socks but for $20 a pair they should stay up longer then a few minutes into the first wear.

If you got a a recent intimates box, what did you get and what was your favorite?
