Class is in session with TWO of these amazing items in your August Glam Bag!
Ipsy says that each bag will get 2 of these 7 items!
1. Nailtini nail lacquer There was Nailtitni polish in last months bag but Ipsy has said there will be no repeats so I am sure it will be a different color.
2. Pacifica BB cream This may not be right but I am crossing my fingers that it is :)
3. Smashbox Photo Finish primer Another could be wrong, looks like to full size tube so it may be right.
4. City Color Cosmetics Cheek Stain  This is confirmed and will be in the bags!
5. Mica Beauty shimmer powder Another past item or brand I should say.  I actually use one of the two Mica Beauty goodies that I received all the time so I am pretty excited to see what comes.
6. NYX Cosmetics blush Again, another past brand. I did not like the last blush I got but it made a great gift for someone who already loved and used what I got.
7. There is a liner of some kind but I am not sure what kind, I will update later!
So, that adds up to 5 items in the bags. If there is 6 there will be one more sneak peek from Ipsy on their facebook page but if not the last sneak peek should be of the bag! I am thinking the bag will be glittery and purple!

Get ready to learn about what Glamour is all about this August.
Looks like the last update is here and it is for the bag!

My favorites- Come shop with me!

Elleandish had a giveaway on her youtube page not too long ago and I was introduced to the site Luvocracy. I guess signing up during her giveaway gave me a $10 credit on the site so I decided to try it out risk free and buy a top coat that people go crazy for and that I have not yet used at a very very good price.

I placed my order on the 23rd and on the 24th I received this email.

The great price just got better! I was very excited to see how fast things where going but was worried that the shipping would be until I received my tracking on the 25th! The order was delivered just 4 days later! So I think I am sold on the site, I have made a few collections of goodies I luv, want and have had... I am also added a few things from other's favorites. This site mixes pinterest with shopping, dangerous combo!
Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from my collections.
 You can sign up here.
Coach Poppy- This has such a light and lovely fresh scent that I just fell in love with, this is my current favorite perfume... I think it will be my favorite for some time too. I can't get over the fresh scent of it!
Julep Beach Tonic- A blend of lightweight yet nourishing oils that moisturize, condition, and restore elasticity and suppleness to the body. This is another scent that I can't get enough of.
Pixi Flawless & Poreless- I received this in an Ipsy bag a few months ago. I had never used a primer before so I was amazed at how well this worked. This has become a must-have in my makeup page.
Altec Bliss Headphones- These bad boys are not only pink but small enough to fit in my ears comfortably! I bought these two years ago because I needed headphones to run with, every other ones I tried hurt and popped out of my ears. I see that the price is $8.99-$20 which makes me cringe to think that I paid $80 for them but they are worth it and I would pay that again.
Samsung i9300 Galaxy S3 Leather Wallet Case- I have had this case since December 2012 and love it! It has been very helpful to me since I could never find either my wallet or my phone. Now, if I have one then I have the other! Of course if I don't have one then I also don't have the other but that has yet to happen...
Volum' Express the Mega Plush Mascara by Maybellin-When I tried it I was not a fan but over time I fell in love and out of my 14 bottles of mascara... this one is favorite. I have been using it for I think about a year which is a very long time for me, I rarely replace mascara once it is gone and I am on my 3rd bottle.
One light coat really enhances my already long lashes.
Acetone-Free Conditioning Nail Polish Remover- I do my nails a few times a week so having a remover that is easy on my hands and nails is always nice and the pump top makes it easy to use.The bottle is thankfully recyclable but it is a bit of a bummer that Julep doesn't have refill bottle for this pump. Still a favorite of mine:)
Over The Rainbow Glitter Nail Polish byCandie's- Bought this a few months ago and love it! Flecks of glitter add sparkle and shimmer to your nails, giving your overall ensemble standout appeal.
Tuscan Blood Orange by Pacifica- Another goodie from an Ipsy bag, I love fresh fruity scents so this was perfect for me and it works great on my dry elbows!
Espresso Eye Shadow by M.A.C.-  Highly-pigmented powder. Applies evenly and blends well. I bought my first MAC makeup during my first trip to Vegas when I was 18 so I have been using this color for about 9 year. It is my favorite matte shade of brown and as you can see by my picture I should get a new one soon!
Blu Polish by Zoya- Full-coverage, soft and delicate pale baby blue with a glossy creme finish. A dreamy, calming blue that's both fun and flattering on the nails. As a soon to be bride I have started to become obsessed with blue polish.
This is not in my collections on the site but it is very yummy and you should try it :)

I have a few other things added so take a look at all and let me know what you like best, I'd love to hear what you think of the things I love!
Also, let me know if you set up some collections. I love to take a peek at others goodies!

Inspired by Nails- Foiled Glass with my first attempt at a video!

This is a part 2 of this post, I liked what I did but I wanted do do a full nail with the "foiled glass" look.
What I used-
Viola by Julep
French White Tip by Sally
Chunky Holo Clover by
Golden Rainbow Foil
Dotting tool
Base Coat Top Coat Pro by Rimmel
Apply Viola on all fingers but the ring finger, paint that finger white.
Apply you foil on all nails then apply a coat of two of "Chunky Holo Clover" or another jelly polish.
The polish seems to shrink some when using foil  so what until your nails are dry to apply you top coat. Once they are dry apply your top coat and clean up around you nails if needed and you are done!

Check out my video and let me know what you think!

Inspired by Nails- Lynette Cenée Jewelry Nails

I always watch the video's on Lynette Cenée's youtube channel. I love her videos, she always seems so happy and upbeat and the designs/tip are always fun. The other day she posted an inspired by jewelry video so I had to give it a try. The above picture is inspired by her look from the video... other than using different polish brands it is pretty much the same.
I wanted to try my own though so I went with a bracelet that I love and have had for years. I think it came out pretty well and am very happy with how the "foiled glass" looks, I might just do my whole nail with that since it was so pretty!

Oh, and have a look at her video!

DIY Craft- Brick Book Ends

I wanted book ends for my cookbooks so when I saw this post on I had to give it a shot! Truth be told I just wanted to steal hers because they are too perfect but since I don't know where she lives and stealing is bad I just made my own.
I got the cheapest bricks at Home Depot for I think $.26 each :)
Painted one end with my metallic red paint.
Taped off where I wanted the red to stop and painted the rest of the brick with my gold paint.
I think they came out great, love the gold!

Thanks for stopping bye, hope you like!

DIY Craft- Polish or Nik Nak Rack.

I wanted to make a custom rack for my office since my move 3 months ago and when my fiance got tired of hearing about it he took me to get the goods to make this beauty!
The shelves are 1x2x2 and the back board is 1/4x6x2. Each shelf is glued with 2 screws on the base board 4" apart. All the wood was bought at Home Depot for just over $5.
It took one day to make. It would have been faster but I started it at night and wanted to see how the paint looked in natural light.  I was worried that the wood would just absorb the paint because I did not use a primer but it was A-Okay and came out great!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you find this inspiring!

Give it a try and post it on facebook and instagram using #LanieBuck
I'd love to see how it turns out if you give it a try!

Inspired by Nails with Tutorial- Brush Strokes

This is my current favorite easy nail design. I bought the "Rock Candy Nail Glaze" from the online Julep warehouse sale last month that was for a time exclusive to Sephora. They are they are pretty much jelly polish and since I have not really been a fan of jelly I wasn't in a hurry to buy but when I saw the set for only $8 in the sale I couldn't pass it up. Turns out this jelly stuff is pretty bangin.
Anyway! These nails are inspired by the lovely bottom left picture of fish shadow sculpture. The "glaze" worked perfectly blend but not cover.
 Here is what I used.
Base coat.
3 creme color polished light to dark.
Jelly polish.
Top coat, matte or glossy.
Apply you base coat to you nails.
Apply one coating of you jelly/glaze polish.
You want an almost dry brush so you can see the brush strokes.
Start. with your brightest or darkest polish apply at the edges bring the almost dry brush to the center on both sides. It will give it a nice texture look.
Apply the second brightest or darkest polish to the middle of your nail the same way. Over lap to make the color pop but not too much to cover the first color.
Apply your lightest color same as you did before.
Apply a coat of your jelly or glaze polish. The glaze polish acts like a top coat but I added one anyway.
 Done and done!
You can also try it with a matte top coat.

Give it a try and post it on facebook and instagram using #LanieBuck
I'd love to see how it turns out if you give it a try!
Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed :)
